Safegard Systems have completed commissioning of one of our V5 Intelligent Damper Control Systems with 152 EIS rated Motorised Fire Dampers in an 80-bed community nursing unit extension on the site of Sheil Hospital in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal.
The project consisted of the refurbishment of the existing Sheil building and the construction of two new 3 storey wings to the rear.
Working with the client, our engineers were able to assist in interpreting the complex cause and effect requirements, and then programme the system to ensure that in the case of a fire, the control panel directs particular dampers to close in the affected zones of the building.
Our involvement in this prestigious project illustrates the reliable, trustworthy and, ultimately, lifesaving services and products provided to buildings and its occupants.
