Belfast City Hospital is a modern university teaching hospital with 900 beds. The hospital provides local acute services and regional specialist services to people from across Northern Ireland.
Safegard Systems were recently tasked with adding another control panel to our extensive list of Controls Systems in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust campus. The V5 system was selected based on the required application in the given area of the building.
The system has been designed with the user in mind, providing an advanced tool that simplifies installation and commissioning of dampers and peripheral devices. The embedded panel PC operates on an embedded platform and utilises solid state technology for optimum reliability.
The Safegard V5 system is designed to protect life and property from damage caused by smoke and fire, by providing the means to:
Compartmentalise fire zones.
Reduce the spread of smoke and fire.
Keep escape routes and fire-fighting access open.
Allow pressurisation and smoke extract by combined operation of dampers and fans.
Allow complex strategies (cause and effect).
