Dominick Place is home to 320 students. Offering en suites bedrooms and suites, with a LUAS stop just outside for great access to DCU, DIT, Trinity College and RCS, right in the heart of Dublin city centre.
Safegard supplied a variety of dampers including manual and motorised fire dampers. The dampers were selected based on the required application in the given areas of the building. Motorised Fire dampers were controlled by a dedicated V5 addressable system which was linked directly to the building Fire Alarm and Detection System.
The project specific cause and effect also had a requirement for smoke clearance dampers in the basement areas. These were linked to the intelligent control system and wiring on a dedicated communications network. These smoke clearance dampers where installed to provide a higher level of protection for the escape routes in the basement.
