Safegard Systems recently supplied and commissioned essential fire dampers to one of Ireland’s largest food production facilities, Emeri Nutrition. Based in Navan, Co. Meath they specialise in the manufacturing of infant milk formula and canned goods. The company now provides over 100+ jobs to locals in the area. The plant re-uses ozone gas to reinforce its bio-security, making it the first in it’s class to do so in Ireland.
Like any large project, this one brought it’s own challenges;
The site operated a green tag system, which could not be given until the system was mechanically complete and checked. Only once this was approved & signed, could the power then be switched on.
Due to the stop/start nature of the project, commissioning of the job had to be completed in various limited stages.
The V5 panel needed to be modified on site due to the cause & effect changing a number of times to fulfil the clients requirements.
